Hey chicks! almost the end of the ski season ! boo hoo :(

well, that's the bad news. the good news is.....

we have presents!!!

due to the sad state of the snow cover, our end-of-season throwdown was canned and so, we still have some prizes left over..... and we want to give them away! to YOU!

[yep - we're pretty nice like that]

first up : a PAIR OF ARAMADA SKIS is going to be sent to one lucky FACEBOOK fan....

here's the deal...we are almost at 600 fans and when we hit 1,000 fans we will give away the skis. all you have to do is encourage as many of your friends as possible to come over and "like" our page.

IT'S THAT EASY!!! so tell all your friends that by 'liking' CwS they not only keep up with our news, they also get to follow our amazing coaches as we head into the northern winter, AND they also have the chance to win a new pair of skis!

Amazing ladies: Suzy Chaffee

photo care of Powder Mag.

In order to keep you stoked and prepared for the Northern Winter (or possibly even the next aussie winter) here are some stories of inspirational ladies who have influenced what women's skiing is today.

Suzy Chaffee, a pioneer in women's hot dog skiing and the advocate for the first division of women's freestyle competitions, began her career as a poorly funded Olympian in 1968. Following a disappointing fail due to technical problems at the Olympics, Suzy went on to change the face of skiing and become the face of Chapstick and she did it all with style.

Here is her story.

ski COLORADO with CwS

What are you doing this summer? Feel like a ski trip to Colorado??!!! You will get to hang out with some great chix, great skiers [natch] and have heaps of fun... guaranteed !

Chicks with Stix is joining forces with Skiers Junction, to offer girls a specialized freeride training camp. Skiers Junction is a freeride camp based out of Frisco in Colorado, a central base that means athletes can enjoy the unbeatable terrain of five of Colorado’s key mountains; Breckinridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Vail and Beaver Creek.

Skiers Junction offers a 5 week camp, or 2 x 2 week camp options. Girls attending this camp will have the benefit of having a specific womens coach, while still having the opportunity to be pushed by the boys.

The camp includes all mountain passes, ground transport, accomodation, food, video analysis and dryland training programs.

So if you attended some shred sessions with the Chicks with Stix coaches this season, you already know how much fun we had doing that - if you missed out, why not join us in the USA !?

For more information on this camp, check out or email Zoe at
